Yup, the seasons have changed up here in Maine. Winter has passed, Mud season is still lingering around, but with the warmer days the black flies have come out!! Black fly season is the worst season of the year in Maine. Unless you are on the go outside the black flies swarm around you and eat you up like theres no tomorrow!

So I experienced the Black Flies first hand today when I was at Bradbury. Getting my bike out of the Saturn was a pain in the ass. By the time I parked my car and walked to the back the flies were already scoping me out. I quickly got the Mamasita up and going. Once you get moving and riding fast the flies aren't much of a problem. You get do end up eating a small handful on the ride, but thats not to bad. I hear they are good nutrition.

The riding was awesome today at Bradbury. I spent an hour out on the trail before meeting up with Bikeman.com teammate Rick. Once i started riding with Rick my riding skills stunk! I wasn't doing to well on the corners. I even ate dirt at one point on the 'O' trail which ended in me banging up my knee slightly. Since there were no broken bike parts or bones it was a good day to be riding mountain bikes at Bradbury!

I finally got in touch with someone from the HR department where i applied for. I've been calling them once or twice a week for 4 weeks now. That didn't take long...

Job interview for Friday, I am really excited for this one.
