Yesterday was the nicest day of the year, no joke! Temps in the 60's, sunny, but windy and I had to spend the day inside and no bike ride! I was subbing for a Spanish teacher at Yarmouth. After school got out I had to go straight to USM for a career fair. Notice the change in words, its no longer a job fair its a career fair.

Things are looking semi good on the job front. More companies are now opening positions for entry level college grads. I guess this is the time of year for it. Hopefully I can get something by May.

After the career fair I had to book it up to Bikeman headquarters in Bath to pick up a large order. Gels, Recovery Drink, chain, tubes, bottom bracket, etc... I also came home with a road bike! Turns out Bikeman had a 47cm 06 Kona Lisa RD that a tour group used for a week. Darcey told me to take it home, let Hattie try it out, if she likes it she can buy it, if not bring it back whenever! The bike is sweet! 9sp 105 group, 7005 Deda Alum frame with a carbon race fork, Mavic Aksym wheels, overall a great package that should last her for several years.

By the time I got home it was time to eat and work on the old El Santo. I was hoping to race the Mama these next few weeks, but It looks like its going to be really wet this weekend. If I had more tire options for the Mama I would def race it, but since I don't have a good set of Mud tires for the 29, I will race the El Santo. The bike is looking pretty good after a few hours of some badly needed TLC. The Speedplay's look good as new after putting in new bearings.

I set up the Kona on Burnsy's trainer so Hattie could see if the bike fit her. Well when Hattie got back from track practice at 10pm she didn't want to get on the trainer. I guess she didn't want to ride the bike. She did make a funny about gettig fit to the bike. She asked "Why do I need to see if it fits? What size is it, because I am a size two." It made Burnsy and I laugh. She did stand over the bike and I think she will end up getting it, not sure though. It is a big purchase

Well I gotta get going, after having the 1st period off I need to start teaching some Spanish for 2nd period to some annoying freshmen/soph. Joy
