Nope still no job, but there is other good news...

I finalized a sponsorship with Selle Italia the other day! This means my a** will be spending countless hours on there product! The really good news is that this isn't just one saddle, but enough for all of my race bikes! This is a huge help in many ways. One I will not have to worry about an old abused saddle's rail snapping while racing, there saddles are highly respected and the body geometry can not be beaten, a huge savings financially for me personally, and if my bum is comfortable, it means I can push harder and harder until it finally isn't comfortable, and even then I need to push even harder!! Going fast is all about how deep you can dig into the pain.

Yesterday Burnsy and I were up at the loaf. Burnsy was confident there would be huge crowds. He was wrong. The place was empty. It was like mid week skiing. Plus the conditions were respectable. Some ice, but nothing to complain about. I did finally learn this time and remembered to bring ear plugs. When Burnsy drives he likes to play his music very load and rock out. No complaints on my end. The drive is long and boring, do what ever you want to do to keep your self awake. After putting in the ear plugs, the music was at a perfect level for me. I was able to listen to everything clearly minus the head ache and loss of hearing when I get older. Next time its my turn to drive.

Job news: still unemployed. I guess when you graduate college you can't collect unemployment, damn. I did sub today for an ed tech. I was just not into it today at school. I had a head ache and was pretty tired from a really long week of riding. The day took forever. I did get to talk to the HR guy from the Home Depot today which is good. I am trying to get into there Olympic employment program they offer. Its an amazing program, work 20 hrs, get paid for 40 and full benefits. I have a lot more respect for the Home Depot now. Many Olympic sports do not have the financial support for all of its athletes and most importantly aspiring athletes which makes it hard to balance work and training. This program allows you do both. I should hear more early in the week about the program.

Well thats about it for now, I am laying low tonight and resting up. If Hattie gets home early enough then we will do our weekly run to the grocery store. Exciting, i know. take care...
