Ahh the two words I love, Active Recovery! Those two words are even better when its followed by week....

My old coach Beau Lambert who I worked closely with for over five years had the term active recovery and every so often he would say, "this week is an active recovery week." I love it! Basically its a week to let my batteries recharge before another block of training. Its awesome! Since yesterday was a holiday and the Portland campus was closed John and I went to Gorham to use the school gym there. 15-20 min jog to warm up and lift weights plus a good stretching and that was it for the day! Sweet!

Today all i did was a quick easy spin, super nice! I like it when the training calls for small amounts of time on the bike. It gives me a chance to catch up on things, clean the house etc... I tried working on Hattie's financial aid stuff for next years school year tonight and found out I messed up the school years last time. This means i have to go back and refill out an entire new form. Ugh this stuff is complicated, time consuming, and an overall pain in the ass! It should save her a lot of money though which is why I am so nice and doing it. On the topic of Hattie she has 7pm practice all this week which stinks! Now I am left alone to buy dinner, cook dinner, and do all the clean up myself! I guess her track coach wanted her to come in late so they could work more closely and this way she wouldn't have to rush her work outs to get to class. I understand this. She has been having a stellar year this year and she wants to keep up the hard work. So to help her out I have been making extra dinner each night and packing it up for her to have the following night. Now when she gets out of class at 4pm she can go to Gorham, do homework for a bit, eat a good dinner and then practice. I am so nice.

Well I don't know what is on the sched for tomorrow. Hopefully I will get called in to sub someplace. I am lined up to sub for thurs and fri which is good, but subbing tomorrow would be nice too. Take care
