My two cents-
Come on USAC and Pro XCT! This isn't a representation of America! 4 states out of 50?? Not to mention two races in March!?? Didn't we learn a few years back when the opening race was in Texas during the month of March? Teams were not ready and racers were not in 'shape'. One race east of the Mississippi? I am glad to see a race in WI and Al but nothing in the NE??
I guess I am just a little bummed because I was really going to try and make it to a bunch of US Cup events in o'10 but it doesn't seem logical at this point. I dont think I can justify spending that kind of money to race in Cali in March. I've done it before and it hasn't gone well. Granted when I did race at Bonelli park back in 07 I was in the area visiting my brother, I figured why not go to a mtn bike race while I am in San Diego? I wasn't prepared to do a race at that caliber, I was attending more for the fun aspect. But what I did learn from the race is that people in So Cal have a HUGE advantage over us folks from Maine when it comes to fitness in March.
Oh well I will have to take it for what it is. Let the information sink in for a few days and see if I can come up with a game plan/ race schedule in the next few weeks. Maybe more Canada Cups?? I would like to hit up Sea Otter so that is also an option....
