Because we are so cool Burns and I were watching Jeopardy last night.

One of the double Jeopardy categories was old TV shows from the 80-90’s or something along those lines. Burns managed to sweep the entire category! He was on fire, answering before any of the contestant’s! It is too bad he wasn’t on the TV show as he would have won a fair amount of $. Just goes to show much TV the guy watches, not saying it is a bad thing…

Today I worked at Poland Spring and road the road bike to and from. It felt good to be able to ride to and from work again. The ride home made me miss the time when I worked at the Plant full time. Riding 50 miles a day just felt good and it also helped make me semi fast as well. Too bad Starbucks doesn’t have a shower because if it did I would ride their everyday as well.

I have been trying to figure out what new road bike to get. My Salsa is showing its age (4 or 5 years now). I am debating on a Trek 4.7 Madone or a Cannondale CAAD9-4. The Trek is going to offer a smoother and nicer ride but the CAAD9 costs less. I know the 5 series Madone would offer a superior ride compared to the 4.7 but there is no way I could afford one. Same goes with the Gary Fisher Cronos, sweet bike but I am way too poor to buy one. Hopefully the Salsa can hold out for a bit longer while I make up my mind. In the mean time I am going to keep on wishing to find $5 on the ground to go towards the bike fund…
