This month has been great! I have been feeling great, getting in a lot of hours, and the gym is going better than ever! On top of that I have done a little bit of substitute teaching.
Yesterday was a mandatory day off! I slept for 12 hours and then just bummed around the parents house and helped them out with some random projects. I dont know what the total hours were last week ( well I do, but I am keeping it a secret) but it was a lot! Saturdays hike was about 9 hours and I did a 3 hour duathalon work out + weights and so much more earlier in the week. A couple of hours last week was also spent shoveling. Shoveling is a great work out, and when the snow keeps piling up it doesn't seem to bother you because you know the skiing is going to be great! Another good note is so far this year I haven't been on the rollers once! On the note of the rollers old high school cycling coach Wheels (http://bikeracingwheels.blogspot.com/) has been spending a lot of time on the rollers. I guess he isn't tough enough to get outside and ride! I'm just kidding, I do respect the guy a lot for holding a level head throughout the long winter and still riding the rollers. See Wheels has a full time job and I don't. He has a wife and I don't. He also has two kids which I don't! With that busy of a life and still finding time to get on the bike train and still be fast is amazing. Hats off to you Wheels. On the note of working I have been doing some substitute teaching lately at Yarmouth. Its pretty easy and the pay is alright. I can survive on it for now, but not for long. I think I might get a long term sub for a teacher who is having a kid. I believe the job is for the technology department, so it should be a laid back job.
