wow, finally summer has arrived. After two months of rain and cool temps summer has struck, and in full force!

This 85-90 degree weather with 100% humidity is putting a hurt on us Mainer's. Usually we can put up with the head and humidity but I think it has been too big of a change to quick. I can't complain though, this weather beats rain any day.

With the dry warm weather brings dry trails at Bradbury. Hattie and I went out for her first mtn bike ride/ skill session on Sunday. Since she has just over a month until the Bradbury 12 hour we got right to work. We headed out Knights wood trail and started the race loop. Hattie had a great attitude and really attacked the trails. She stayed upright on the bike for the most part, only take a few small falls.

Hattie was back at it on Monday hitting up Bradbury again; only this time she went by her self!

We decided to head back to the mountain early this morning before it got too hot outside. This mornings ride wasn't as stellar as the past two days. Hattie took a bad spill cutting up her elbow. When Hattie got up from the ground blood was dripping down her form arm. I was pretty traumatized by the fall but Hattie wanted to keep on going. I was shocked, if I had take a fall like that I would have wanted to call it quits but not her. So we continued on riding more of the race course.

If all goes well I think you will see Hattie competing at the following races: Rangeley, Landmine, and Bradbury 12hr.
