here is a quick recap of the world cup
Started at the back of the pack, the bottle neck into the single track stunk. Barry Wicks and I stood still at the back while the leaders increased the gap between us and them. Racing a world cup isn't just about the overall placement it is also about the 80% rule. The 80% rule is that you have to be within 80% of the leader’s time. So if Absolon is kicking ass and putting in a 20 minute lap I have to be within 16 minutes of that. When you lose 6 to 8 minutes on the first lap due to bottle necks and chaos this becomes pretty hard. Somehow I managed to move up to 76 overall and finished 2 laps down. Not too bad, still some room for improvement. Full report coming soon |
