So the race is finally over!! wow what a journey it has been

Day 7 would be our most difficult stage out of the race. The course wasn't super tough, long or difficult, it just so happens that after six days of multi hour racing you are bound to have some type of mechanical. On a double track decent Burns hit a water-bar pretty hard. This same water bar caused the Luna-chicks and several other riders to flat. It was like flat city, maybe 4 or six people flatted in this one spot within minutes of each other.  No worries, just a flat right? We install a tube and start making up some lost time. About 15 minutes after fixing the flat Burns gets another flat tire! This time we inspected the rim and noticed it was dented so we pulled out the old Powerbar wrapper and fixed it up. A few minutes later and we were back on our bikes to cruise into the finish. Between the two of us we put in almost 50 hours of riding over the week and the only thing we had go wrong were three flats, not bad.

So today we were able to spend in Whistler. What better to do with your day then go riding and create your own stage 8? Burns, myself and a friend of ours Craig went out to hit up a famous local trail called 'Comfortably Numb'  Four hours and 50k later we were back at our hotel room. The ride was amazing! Some of the best single track we have ever ridden. The views were incredible and the trail was very challenging. I wish we had time go back and ride it again tomorrow.

That is about it for now, full BCBR recap is coming soon! Along with pics!!
