Man I have done a lot of work this weekend, and its only half way over....
Saturday am: was woken up by some young girls banging on the door. I did not make it down to the door in time to see what they wanted. Instead I saw them knocking on the neighbors door asking for what looked like bottles. What they were going to do with the bottles is beyond me. So since I was up I decided to get the day going. I kicked it off by flipping through the latest issue of Velo News. That magazine is pretty lame. Since this issue didn't prove to have anything cool in it I headed off to the hardware store and the post office. Once back at the homestead I brewed a small pot of Bikeman Attack coffee and proceeded to do some outside work before the rain came. My new roommate David, who is Hattie's younger brother helped me out with trimming some tree branches. The branches were in the way of the Direct TV and were interfering with the local channels. We were 20ft up on a ladder and had a 10ft extension saw cutting down huge branches! It was cool minus all the pine pitch on our clothes and sawdust in our hair. I cleaned out the gutters in preparation for the storm, laid down some tarps around and over the bulk head to make sure it wouldn't leak, and trimmed up some bushes that were in our line of sight backing out of our driveway. I did all of this before lunch. David and I ate a quick lunch, enjoyed cup of coffee number two and then moved onto the basment. Our house has poor insulation, so we spent the afternoon improving the insulation from the foundation to the floorboards. That took a long time. I think you are suppose to wear long sleeves and masks when you insulate, something neither David or I did.... I also cleaned and vacuumed the basement, picked up the bike shop, and some other random stuff all before Hattie came home from work! The night was spent watching a mindless movie, Semi Pro. not to shabby. I wish I had some picks of all the hard work I did today, but I was to busy working to take pics! Tomorrow I need to bust out my master plumbing skills and install a new kitchen faucet.
