So on Wed night when I was leaving work I noticed a bunch of black footprints on the carpet in the office. I thought what dumb ass walked all over the office with grease on there shoe and made a mess. Well this morning (Thursday) when I put on my Dr. Martins I noticed a huge bile of grease smeared into the treads of my shoe! I was the dumb ass who walked all over the carpets office!! So for the first hour and a half of work today I spent in the maint room standing on one foot and cleaning my shoe. I had to be careful not to get degreaser onto the leather of the shoe so it took a while to clean it up. Then to make it all worse my managers pointed out the marks on the floor to me! they were just joking and informed me I probably stepped in the grease when I was walking through the trailer parking lot. They told me it was ok. But I still felt like a dumb ass because I am the intern and tracked grease all through the plant that someone else was going to have to clean up. 

As I was leaving today I saw the cleaning crew with a special carpet cleaner  going around cleaning up the black footprints on the carpet! I felt like such a tool. I apologized  to the crew and told them the story. I wish I could have stayed behind to clean up my mess, but the sun was going down and I had to ride home before dark.

So yeah I am the dumb ass at work this week. just great....
