I am trying to get everything straightened out for the World Cup.

right now I have a decent motel room w/ a kitchen for three nights. I wanted to down grade to two nights, but the motel has a 3 night min. Now I am having a hard time finding another place that is within 40 miles. I also see that I have to be up in Canada before 11:00am Friday to pick up my number. This isn't to bad, it just means I will have to be out of the house before 6:00am. This will give me an hour+ of safety. But I am not sure if I can find another place which sucks, there goes another buck twenty five. Hopefully I can find something in the 48hrs.

I think this race is going to cost me at least $500. Man this sport is expensive. I think I am going to have to give up an entire season of cross for one world cup. You would think that if you are capable of competing at the worlds highest level you wouldn't be stressing so much about $ and having decent equipment, but you do.It sucks; but no one ever said life as a pro would be easy. I have throwing around the idea of picking up a part time job in the fall. Maybe working thurs, fri night and all day sat. Then I would take Sunday to recoup and work all week.  I figure I could maybe get an extra 20hrs a week this week at a second job. I could then take this extra $ and put it towards racing in 2009. Its not that I am not getting by now with my job. I could get by with my current job, but I cant get by and finance my professional cycling career.

Well enough bitching about money or lack there of. i am just going to keep doing what I have done all season; say 'F**k it and keep on going'. Only a few days until the world cup. I cant wait!
