Got word from USA cycling today, I am cleared to race the World Cups in Canada!!

The rules state you need 20 or more UCI points to race the World Cups. If you don't have enough UCI points you need to go through your cycling organization and get permission. I believe each nation can send 4 riders who don't have UCI points. So far this year I have earned myself 15 UCI points from my 4th place finish at a Canada Cup. However, the only other UCI race in North America after I received my 15 was the NORBA Deer Valley race. I couldn't justify spending that kind of money to go to a race at altitude. I figured if I did get UCI points at Deer Valley I would be so in debt I wouldn't be able to afford the world cups. So I took a gamble and decided to stay home, apply for the world cups trough USA Cycling and hope I get a spot. Well my plan worked out!

I will only be attending the Bromont World Cup. I wish I could attend both (Mount Sainte Anne and Bromont) but the funds wont allow it. My other goal is that hopefully after racing in NY, Snow, St Anne that all the American riders will be tired by the time Bromont rolls around. I will be skipping out on NY going to Snow, taking a weekend off and then killing it at Bromont.

Well thats my plan and I am sticking to it.
