For the 4th of July I got to sleep in!! It was so nice to get caught up on some sleep. The Campeon need some TLC. Here is what happens to your cables when you ride in Maine. I think I put these cables onto the bike in the spring. 

Friday afternoon I did a little mountain biking up at Bradbury with Aaron Oaks and another one of Aaron's friends. It was great to rip it up at Bradbury again. its been a while since I've last been there due to work. After riding I went up to Winthrop to see the parents. Hattie was able to come as well! My Aunt and Uncle, and two cousins were up and we had a little bbq chicken. My dad was one of those dumb ass's who didnt check the propane tank on the grill before the 4th. Thankfully  the grill ran out just as the chicken was done. after dinner we went down to the beach and saw the fire works along with the rest of Winthrop's finest.

Saturday I made it up to Northern/Western Maine for another 120+ mile ride. I kind of got a late start (1ish) but I figured this would help kick my ass in gear and pick up the pace on the ride.

The ride was awesome! perfect weather, sunny and 80 and little to no traffic!  

  I road around this lake and about 10 others I think.

I got to ride into the sunset and this is what it was like.   

Overall an awesome ride!! Total miles, 123, avg mph 20.1. I am not sure what my avg mph was last time, but I think it was around high 18's. I know my time was around 6.5hrs last time and this time it was just over 6, so I know I was a little bit faster. 

Sunday was another lazy day, I got to sleep in and do some stuff around the 497. I got caught up on some laundry  

and other such things. Here at the 497 we dont use the dryer. It uses way to much electricity which comes from oil. It really doesn't take anymore time to air dry.

Only two weeks until nationals.
