After 3 trips up to Canada and a trip west to NH the past 4 weeks have been more than busy. On top of that this was my first full week of work. Needless to say I was pretty tired and deserved a weekend off from racing and travel!
I thought about going North to see my pops for Fathers day, but I saw him last weekend and I am going up next weekend. With the cost of gas I think he understands if I wait a few days before going up to see him. So I kicked it at the 497 all weekend and caught up on some stuff around the house. Our bathroom and kitchen faucets have been leaking, so I fixed those. I also did a bunch of laundry and cleaning/ organizing stuff. Also got a grip on the bill's and payments etc.. Fun stuff. The weather Saturday was awesome! sleeveless jersey warm which set up for a great work out. This past week has been pretty laid back training wise and it was nice to pick things back up again. Nice day out side Nice training road
Sunday I met up with Old Man Wheels and went for a nice ride at Bradbury. Despite the rain the trails were still in great condition. Riding on the wet roots and rocks was also good for my skills. Its been a few months since I have been on the El Santo so it was nice to get back on to that. The bike did feel funny though. I want to spend some more time on it. I am planning on racing it the next two weekends. I think the El Santo will be the bike to race at Snow, but I am not sure. I guess it will depend on tire selection. Well I have to get ready for work. I will drive in tomorrow, bring 4 days worth of clothes and leave my car there for the week as I will ride home Monday night and continue to commute via bike for the rest of the week. The commute is 25miles each way and that is a LOT of miles to put on my car. Take care |
