Wow, Hattie pretty much dominated in this weekends meet. It was the State Championships Friday night, and she scored 38 points for USM! Thats about a quarter or more of the teams total points!

Snow and laid off

Man, the weather has been non stop precipitating in some form or another for the past week, and it doesn't look like its going to stop anytime soon! The first part of the week it was rain/sleet/freezing rain/ snow. Basically just crap falling from the sky. Finally yesterday the temps dropped enough for us to collect 6 inches of snow!

Yesterdays subbing and todays 1/2 sub day have been really easy. Yesterday I pretty much read from my book, "The Omnivores Delima" Today I am monitoring a study hall. At least I have access to a computer today.

Food For Thought

I finally received another 6am phone call! This time I was subbing for an English teacher at the high school. When I came down stairs I was surprised to see how hard it was snowing. Turns out Yarmouth doesn't cancel school that often, good news for me. Todays class sched was very laid back. Every class I had today had a big project due at the end of the week, so all the students were busy working silently on there projects. This meant a lot of sitting and personal reading for me.

No complaints about this weekend. I was lucky enough to be able to take care of my dog (really my parents dog) Maggie for the weekend. Plus Hattie had another steller weekend and the riding was great!

I looked to good at yesterdays career fair up at U Maine Orono the Bangor Daily Newspaper chose me to put on the front page of the news paper. I bet every copy of todays paper flew off the shelves. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy today at 10:00am and it was the last one!

Thats the news from the USM gym at least. Turns out after you graduate you get the boot from using the gym. To bad USM isn't as nice as Kents Hill, where the hill allows its alumni to use its facility.
